Samsung announces Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion laptops with 'vivid' QLED displays

At the Samsung Programmer Conference today, Samsung took the wraps off of two new entries in its Galaxy Book laptop range. Dubbed the Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion, Samsung claims both characteristic the "world'southward commencement QLED brandish on a laptop."

Kickoff up is the Galaxy Book Flex, which is a two-in-1 laptop with a 360-degree hinge. Bachelor in a poppy "Regal Blue" color, the Galaxy Book Flex comes packed with Intel's tenth Gen Core processors, upwardly to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage. Samsung has also included Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) connectivity, a docking Southward-Pen with enhanced gesture controls, and a fingerprint reader that works with Windows Hello.

The Galaxy Volume Ion, meanwhile, is a more traditional laptop form factor that features many of the same specs. You'll go Intel 10th Gen Core processors hither, up to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics, and up to 16GB of RAM. There's also a fingerprint reader, upward to 1TB of SSD storage with room for some other SSD, and Wi-Fi 6 capabilities.

Both laptops include Thunderbolt 3 support, along with USB-C on the Flex and USB three.0 on the Ion. Both as well feature a microSD card slot, while the Ion adds an HDMI port to the mix.

Samsung is particularly focused on the displays with these laptops, both of which will exist available in xiii-inch and 15-inch varieties. The company says the QLED panels on the Flex and Ion pack "vivid" colors, with each coming in at resolutions of 1920 x 1080 and capable of hitting peak brightness levels of 600 nits.
